Anyone had any experience or think the Steadicam Merlin with vest and arm be a good fit with the scarlet?

So Scarlet, v lock battery and monitor?

I Think the merlin can handle 3.2kg

???

Way too light a rig for the scarlet.

Plus, the Merlin, unlike the rest of tiffens' products, is not built up to the standards of the bigger rigs.

Aw Matt...that sucks but thanks for letting us know

Anything for around the same price for a vest and arm to add to a glidecam 4000HD?

Or yes if you own the Glidecam 4000-HD, you can just purchase the SmoothShooter vest and arm from Glidecam for around 1200 I believe.

i managed to break a merlin with a z1 and lens adaptor... no way its gonna take a scarlet

I use the Merlin all the time with other camera...I also own a Scarlet. The Merlin can not handle the load. The arm would probably be fine, but you would need a different steadicam attachment than the Merlin.

oh...by the way. I read the Reduser pretty much everyday. I have for about a year. Never posted anything though. I usually just read, learn, and laugh. Everyone has been so good at the information transfer on here I can always fine my answers. So...hi. I'm Mike. I own Reel Works Media. I love shooting with the Scarlet...2058 I believe.

Thanks to everyone for being really informative....and really entertaining.
