1) Does the J box and D box also have HDMI connectors too? If not would that be an option? Might come handy for a non HD-SDI monitor

an hdmi cable can be pass thru the post. we can not add more connections because the telescopic post need to work free. so if they need and hdmi cable they can use it for the job just passing the cable thru the post is really easy.

2) Is the Proline Iso-elastic?

the arm is not isoelastic, isoelastic is patented for steadicam by tiffen any isoelastic arm by other brand is illegal.

3) Does the t2000 red edition come with the needed 6-pin lemo cables and battery plates that send battery charge % information?

we are studying using the 6 pin cables in the red users edition but is the same problem than hdmi. we need strong cables for the power supply plus strong cables for the dhsdi plus all the extra cables is gonna be a mess when using the super post.

4) Any idea how many orders have been placed? Does it look like the numbers will be reached?

we only have 14 buyers we are still far

Either 60 people bought an AP Raptor, or the 72 people (see thread pool) voted just for the fun of it for the ProLine T2000. I hope that many more orders are coming in next week before the deadline.

Hi David

Great to know the 24v & 12v are separate cables.

How do you prevent the switch being turned while operating? If it does switch over from 12 to 24 and you have only 12 connected, what happens' then? Do you loose power to the camera?

Where that switch is located is just a major concern of mind, it seems in a prime position to get knocked.

Dang, that is a bummer on the number. Hopefully it jumps up. I bet we lost a lot more to the Raptor than expected... I was ready to order the ProLine but had some tax issues pop up, so I'm doing my best now to get things in order before the ProLine deadline, but if not, I'll have to go with the Laing instead unfortunately.

I think they are both active. But I'll ask

I thought "isoelastic" meant it holds position/height independently from the body better... What is the non-trademarked/non-branded version "isoelastic"?

I think Tom Wills explained somewhere, that arms are mostly ise-elastic only at a certain weight. So that even most iso-elastic arms must be used with a special payload to react this way. Sorry Tom if I misquote you.

I'm not sure if there is an other word for isoelastic. I'll write Luciano if there is a certain weight range where the arm behaves in a iso-elastic manner.

I think the absence of installment plan option for international customers might have put a lot of the people who voted in a difficult situation, since they will have to come up with the funds in one go (me included). Hoping for the best, If I can get the funds together I will be ordering too, even though I didn't vote. I hope we hit the magic 40 by midnight 28th. At this price it seems like a no brainer in terms of investment and quality.

another possibility is the group of people in the Laing/proline group that haven't made up their mind yet since Laing has not presented the final product or pricing.

Industry standard - component swaps?

Industry standard - component swaps?

The Pro Line uses industry standard connections for the arm to socket block and I think also on the Gimball end. If this is true, it seems an advantage to this system would be the ability to swap to another industry standard arm from another manufacturer. I was wondering if this was discussed at all. If so, it sure would be a good reason to begin with the ProLine system. Then again, you may be happy enough to stick with it.

All the best,
lael

Just ordered

Agreed, I'd love the ability to "upgrade" in the future if needed with a new vest or arm. I like this advantage over any other third party system. There may be a time where I might need to attach it to the back of a truck or vehicle that is already equipped with standard mounts. Maybe even a Segway system.

any news on the Voltage switch and protection?

I posted it already in the other thread. Both connectors are powered at the same time , but use different connectors. You can't by accident switch them off.

Let's post in the other thread, so that there aren't two active ProLine threads.
