Hey David, I'm spun around with all the threads and offers and Carey's "none group buy"... Is there a David group buy price for the Action Products Raptor? If so what is deadline and price?

Contact Daryl at Action Products direct and ask him the details. Check out the AP blog also for more details on the Raptor. He is honoring the original AP Raptor group buy offer, but only until this Friday March 22nd but, so need be quick...
Cheers

alternatively you can contact Carey via email from the OP of this thread, or PM Justin who is the retailer, also on this thread. You only have one more day to take advantage of this offer. Your head will explode when you see what's on offer.

its too bad the installment thing cannot be done for international customers. Hopefully I can move enough money around to make this happen before the deadline.

Sorry to post something completely off-topic here, again, but I figured that for two months of trying to organize those group buy threads, I can "misbehave" once or twice

I need your help! I've been posting my new short-film "Partner" on sites everywhere, and I need your support with one. I'd like to get it featured on "Short of the Week", so if you don't mind going to the site and voting for it, that will help.

And please forward the message to anyone who might like the film. Those votes will allow me to shoot my next film! So please vote as soon as possible! The link to the film is on the voting page.

Short of the Week - Partner

You need to register first for the votes to count, so you'll need to give an email address and then click on the verification email. You can also log-in using your facebook or google account. Then, you can give the video 3!!! votes.

If we can get it featured on Short of the Week, that often gets it featured on i09 and Film School Rejects too, all of which really bump up view counts.

That again will make sure I get the money to shoot my next film, a web mini-series western/fantasy/neo-noir crossover :)

Thank you all, and let's hope that I can shoot the next project with a ProLine!

Cheers
David

Does the ProLine already include all of the features that we were requesting Laing to add?

I'm also wondering if the Laing could end up with more features when all is said and done. But if the ProLine already has everything you could ask for...

The ProLine does have all those features we wanted to see in a Laing. The only thing it hadn't were special RED power cables, which are now included in this ProLine REDuser group buy, so that you just have to mount your camera and you're ready to go.

Voted for you David, good luck! Man, I am right on the fence between the Proline and Laing, I had some unfortunate money holds up come up so I'm reconsidering going with the more expensive Proline rig... I am really only looking to have the steadicam to practice with and get to the point where I can use it for a few shots here and there on low budget projects, so I'm trying to avoid a large expense here, but I also still want whichever I invest in to be useable too ;).

Was there anybody else that was in this decision and if so, what was it that made you lean one way or another between the two? I know it's hard to say since we don't really know what the Laing is at this point or if it is coming at all...
