I know this and much more is answered in this discussion but maybe it's time for a synopsis. I think the buy with Proline is on, but I don't know how long the offer is available and when the target is achieved or not. Is there any chance you could pull together all the important data about this: The product, what it includes, what it costs, how to buy it, timing, any options or accessorie ... in once place. If you've already done this, thanks for pointing me to it and sorry for missing it...

Have a look at the fist two posts in this forum. I updated them over the time.

Also you find most information pretty condensed on my blog.

I'll try to put all the information nicely together and post it tomorrow.

Absolutely awesome. Great job David! Really well done! what cam/lenses did yo use?

Sorry to post something completely off-topic here, again, but I figured that for two months of trying to organize those group buy threads, I can "misbehave" once or twice

I need your help! I've been posting my new short-film "Partner" on sites everywhere, and I need your support with one. I'd like to get it featured on "Short of the Week", so if you don't mind going to the site and voting for it, that will help.

And please forward the message to anyone who might like the film. Those votes will allow me to shoot my next film! So please vote as soon as possible! The link to the film is on the voting page.

Short of the Week - Partner

You need to register first for the votes to count, so you'll need to give an email address and then click on the verification email. You can also log-in using your facebook or google account. Then, you can give the video 3!!! votes.

If we can get it featured on Short of the Week, that often gets it featured on i09 and Film School Rejects too, all of which really bump up view counts.

That again will make sure I get the money to shoot my next film, a web mini-series western/fantasy/neo-noir crossover :)

Thank you all, and let's hope that I can shoot the next project with a ProLine!

Cheers
David

Thanks :) We used a Scarlet in 6:1 with a RED Nikon mount and Nikon AIs lenses.

I edited everything RAW in PPro, exported it to AFx, applied some first light corrections and Kodak Vision3 LUTS trough FilmConvert (and the effects of course). Exported everything in 16bit openEXR floating point to Resolve. Exported again after CC in openEXR and mastered it in PPro. Audio was done in Pro Tools, but I would have to ask the sound designer for more details.

The ProLine does have all those features we wanted to see in a Laing. The only thing it hadn't were special RED power cables, which are now included in this ProLine REDuser group buy, so that you just have to mount your camera and you're ready to go.

Great! I think I'm in! Also, 3 more votes from me :-)

I had never planned on owning a steadicam before. But I really don't like shaky handheld so.... that's my excuse ;-)

The transition to credits was cool.

The AP offer is now expired. I wish you all success with the PROLine group buy. I think the PROLine is a great product at an amazing price... a perfect choice for many people. Get it before it's too late!

Is the Proline Iso-elastic?

And does the t2000 red edition come with 6-pin lemo (send battery %)? Is the battery mount selectable?

As far as I know, the arm is iso-elastic in a certain weight range. Maybe David Winters and Nick Milo who did the LA test can comment on it.

Again, I have to check with Luciano about the smart data, but since he's anyway configuring all the cables himself, it should transmit the % data.

And yes, the mount is selectable.

side question. Does the J box and D box also have HDMI connectors too? If not would that be an option? Might come handy for a non HD-SDI monitor

Does the D Box at the bottom of the sled have a safety to lock the voltage switch?
From the video it looks like it could be easly bumped and turned from 12V to 24V which would fry the Epic

If it doesn't have a safety mechanism, it should be implemented. I'll forward it to Luciano.

Luciano's answer:

the 12 and 24 volts are separate lemo connectors and 24 volts cables doesn't fit in 12 volts cameras.
is impossible to burn a camera or any accessories.
