Could be the same guy using new names. South Carolina phone numbers. Uses Paypal. Never ships merchandise.

Watch out. Ask for the merchandise serial number, then check the manufacturer.

Also post the new names here. Check with other Red Users for their feedback.

Getting numerous reports of scams from other camera/video websites, this guy is working all sites under various aliases.

Does anyone on REDUSER know this guy? Jason Moore

There is a scam artist working all the photography/video user websites offering to sell non-exist equipment out of South Carolina.

He offers free shipping, a bargain price, and convenient invoices through Paypal.

He doesn't ship anything, takes the money and changes his name every few days.

Ask for the serial number on all items and check with the manufacturer.

Beware of Scam Artists on Reduser.

Hello James,
I am currently selling 2 redvolt battery packs and 2 redmag ssd cards for Epic X dragon. In order to make my customers have the best experience when purchasing one of my merchandise I offer free shipping. If you have a budget for the item please mention it inside of a email along with some information you would like to know about the item before making a transaction. This item is in new condition and has been purchased two months ago for use.
Thanks, Jason Moore!

I have encountered all three of them. I just love how Bailey claimed he bought a Canon Mount from B&H... Red flag all over the place.

Dammit, Ryan fox tried to scam me the other day but i bought a nikon mount from Bailey sims and he hasn't sent me the tracking #. Thanks for letting me know I would've got to my shoot on Friday without a mount and screwed.

Guys, all you have to do is insist on a Skype/Facetime meeting. If they have the balls to show their face, take a screenshot. Chances are, however, they won't show their face and then you'll know.

Good idea. When I'm feeling suspicious, I usually ask the seller to take a photo of the item together with a newspaper that shows the current date.

Bailey Sims, Ryan Fox, James Risby and Jason Moore are the same guy in South Carolina. He changes identity every few days.

Beware of this scam artist. He is trolling the camera/video user groups offering to sell non-existent equipment through Paypal.

He keeps the money and NEVER ships anything. Don't fall for his con game.

Today, 03:40 AM - This just in from a Senior Reduser member
Here are scammers I have encountered on here. Please do not share my name as the buyer. Don't want to be harassed by these individuals! Thanks

Jeremy Phillips - Red One Drive scammer never sent me item. Received refund from PayPal

Kirk Fraser - Broken/ Fungus Lens scammer, falsely advertised lens and lied about servicing/ repair cost refund. Lost over $4,000 to him

Brian Mendez - Broken Oconnor Tripod. Received refund from PayPal

Brian Self - Lied and sold me a laser damaged Red One. Received refund from PayPal buyer protection.

Paula Cook - Falsely advertised Broken Sigma 24-70 lens. Received refund from PayPal buyer protection.

Justin Alpern - Falsely advertised and sold broken Cartoni C20S Dutch head as good condition & wouldn't give refund. Eventually received refund from PayPal buyer protection.

I've had Ryan Fox offer to sell me things that I'm looking to buy, but his emails are just make no sense. Stay away from sellers who can't compose an email.

Sellers, be sure to have a trustworthy email persona!

So now I'm a Scammer and signing in as three different people? :(

That sucks man but say what you want. I told you and Tristan that PayPal told me not to ship.

One way to check out scammers is to ask a really out there question, like:
Does this camera have the SDI port with the PL mount upgradeable to LCD?
If they answer: 'Oh yes, this is the top of the line!" you know to run and not walk. If they answer "what the f*&$% are you talking about?" you know at least they know something about the item they are selling/trying to.
I know it's not bullet proof, but I fended off a couple of scammers that way in the past...

(I was contacted by ryanfox about a scarletdragon FS. A good example of scam language. I was sent photos and other emails. )

ME>>>> Whats your price? what does it include or brain only?"

RF>>>> I don't say a price until the buyer says a price, therefor we both can
>>>> be happy with the business we make... If that makes sense.

"RF>>>> It includes a tripod and the camera.
