I can't seem to get the Bartech BFD to fire the camera. I've got the cable running from the receiver to the Epic on/off cable (http://www.innocinema.com/fstop-bdr-epic-tm-on-off-cable.html)
and into the sync input on the Epic. The Brain GPIO is set to General Input/Record Start/Record Stop/Record Indicator Out.
I've tried mixing those around a bunch, but no matter what, the cam doesn't fire when the RUN/STOP is flipped on the BFD (Currently set to MOMentary rather than CONtinuous - but switching that doesn't change anything). Also, the box on the Epic on/off cable is flashing green when I toggle the RUN/STOP on the BFD, so I'm sure the signal is getting that far.
Any hints on what I'm missing? Or maybe I've got a bad BNC to 00 cable?
Thanks a ton.

Anyone with a Bartech BFD firing their Epic? Would love to hear if there's anything I should be doing. Thx

Have you asked the guys at Innocinema to be sure you have everything set correctly and that their device appears to be functioning properly?

I asked the distributor, and he seemed to think it was, but wasn't sure on the Epic end of things. I'll contact the manufacturer directly tho. Thx

I just had an odd issue that might be the same with a Varizoom Fiz. The GPIO required power on the line which the Fiz brain was not sending. Like it was not a regular interrupt line that is passive but rather an active circuit. One of my talented AC's sorted out a custom cable with a watch battery attached to it and got the thing working. I don't know all the details but I do remember it required voltage on the line to trigger.
