Somewhere, right now at RED HQ, is an EPIC camera with your name on it.

We've seen feather fights and snowstorms,
When you take delivery, get it assembled and power it up:

What's the very first thing you will want to capture?

David

I am working offshore somewhere in the caribbean doing pre pro for my 1st feature and the 1st thing I want to do is crank up the camera, activate HDRx™™™ in the highest possible frame rate and shoot my girlfriend and crew on the beach. Other then a nice photo op, I want to see various flesh tones under harsh and or contrasty light scenarios.

Here is an example of what I am dealing with. Iphone4 HRD mode.

Funny... not that a stage 2 has my name on it... but I think the first thing I'll try to do with my Epic is shoot the bridge of Kirk's Enterprise.

Heck... maybe I'll even try to get all the surviving original castmembers at their stations.

Great shot Clay. All the iphone HDR aside. That beer looks pretty refreshing!

Hey Clay... it´s a dirty job... and you have to do it.
Stay away from the... sand and coconuts.

David,

I'm not till Stage 4, but I guess I would have to be boring and go through a load of lens tests, lighting test, etc.

But if I indulge for a moment, the probable my kids!

The first thing I will try is use it on my steady cam and see how it feels, then some HDR stuff in the hot Mozambican sun, with dark faces....

HDRx up at the lake. Wide vistas, hot sun, sand and water...with kids and chocolate lab on the beach...followed by my next feature.
