The KEEP part of the #1 rule for Stage 2 is very important. You will find out soon why.

We have heard there are some people that are taking advantage of a great deal offered in good faith... that falls under " bad attitude ".

Hopefully this message will turn out to be good news for most people and bad news for only a few.

Update Saturday afternoon:

Wow.. a lot more people participated in this than we thought.

I anticipated this thread would get emotional the moment I posted it. We have received an array of touching emails this morning from some of you that have engaged in this.. and honestly it sounds like many of you were not trying to take advantage of the situation, they just didn't understand what they were getting themselves into. A lease-to-own counts as a transfer. Anyone that wants to argue that point can talk to the lawyers.

We will deal with this on a case-by-case basis. Those that contact us, explain their situation and take care of the the transfer of ownership the correct way, so we can update our records, will receive forgiveness.

It is sometimes not easy to take the high road when things get personal... but we can put this all behind us... as long as this lease-to-own thing ends today.

Deal?

i dont know nothing about about stages , but how can someone take advantage about being on stage 2????? just a question....

selling an executed camera..

or selling the epic x to someone who isnt stage 2, thus leaving their new unheard of yet red one update NIXED from the eligibility list...

just making shit up though.. i have no real ideas

Maybe something about the $1 pay out plan going around?

I know some people will be upset, but this seems perfectly reasonable to me. If you are trying to capitalize on reds generosity, I easily see how that would be perceived as a bad attitude.

Aw, don't keep us hanging on this Jarred. Spill the beans.

Must provide time stamped picture hugging your Red One at time of X delivery?

I love my Red One and can't let her go ;)

Trying desperately to keep my beloved Dunesmore in hand/in house!! My lovely beast is sitting 15' from me, awaiting new companionship and new opportunities to create amazing imagery!!

In short, I still have my Executed R1-MX and want it to stay that way!!

Selling accessories though as I can to fund Epic-X Bits-n-Bobs.....

And Jarred, you Guys n Gals are crazy!!!! There is to be ANOTHER benefit to timely ownership of your creation?

I totally agree. Buying into Stage 2 with the full intent of selling either one of the cameras (after receiving such a killer deal on the package) should qualify as a bad attitude. Karma people. Karma.

I always planned to keep my sub 1000 serial number Red One with machined accessories. Some day it'll just sit in a glass case and my grandchildren will say "grandpa, is that really one of the original Red cameras?" :)

Who would sell their own child... I can't see my self selling mine... Since I have it, it was only once used by someone else, and for 1 day, and on that shoot I was the producer...Never rented it out, ever...

But, how soon will we find out what you have planned for us? What surprises you have hidden away for us Stage 2 people? Intriguing isnt it?

HOLY MOLY. Glad I still have my Red MX. Honestly, it's the best thing going. It still gets me work and people loveeee it... I will never sell it.. It will be a gift to my kids one day..

Damn my failing close-up vision! At first glance, I thought this was an offer for Stage 3 and 3.5 to keep their R1 cameras.

If you are trying to capitalize on reds generosity, I easily see how that would be perceived as a bad attitude.

Word.
