  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Spider-man on EPICs...

You guys might be getting sick of hearing this, but huge congratulations Red Team! I suspect this may be the precursor to a lot of similar announcements, but it is momentous nonetheless.

If they need to rent any extra bodies, I hope to have one to offer soon! :)

I'd much rather spend my nights (until 4am) with you guys on this board than win any award. True.

Jim

Well, we can reward you in spirit at least! :)

There is so much meaning in your heh heh hehs it's not even funny. TEASE!

Jarred's "heh heh heh"'s are just evil... ;) Can't wait to get my EPICs!!!

Our original goal was to provide a respectful film alternative. We didn't see 1080P as that.

It appears that our goal had been met. Now we have more work to do as we have set our goals higher...

Jim

Well you kicked ass on the camera film side. Im doubly curious to know how the hell people are dealing with 5K footage, on systems like say, our Quantel Pablo which ONLY (cough) handles 4K resolution.

Is 5K then 4K after Full Debayer? Wherein 4K was 3.2K on the Red One?

These small independent films are well and good, but when are you going to start getting some blockbusters?

As soon as we build the best camera... :-)

Jim

Jim has always known that the best way to market a product is have the coolest people using it. Worked with Oakley. It will work for Epic. The difference of course is that Epic must prove itself in advance. Kudos to Red and Eoic.

This is great news! More and more top productions are adopting RED :) Things are getting better and better. Congratulations, Jim!

First The Hobbit, now Spiderman... it's just the start of many more to come! Including a feature of my own hopefully in the not too distant future! :-)

Hey Jim, How is the Red Ray coming along? will we see it in cinemas?

I will not be happy if Mad Max 4 is not shot on Epic as well. Please lend these guys a camera to test.
