This is my Sound Devices SD702 2-channel hi-resolution recorder-- one of the gold standards. Has some the usual scrapes from use and needs the internal AA battery replaced or recharged (it's forgetting the date when off for a long period), but came back from Sound Devices a couple years back with a clean bill of health, and used only occasionally since then.

Comes with a AC adapter, 4GB card, Sound Devices/Camrade CS3 bag suitable for use over your shoulder (originally $150-ish, will also hold a separate mixer like the 302, wireless receiver, etc.), though I mostly had it on a stand and direct into my camera. And it includes the ridiculously expensive pair of 25" Sound Devices XL2 TA3-to-XLR cables ($75) to connect the output to a camera. That said, the ability to send balanced outputs into a camera is one of the advantages of the 7-series over the newer, cheaper Sound Devices units.

$875 plus shipping. Let me know if you have questions. Try it out and pick up in NYC, or shipping of your choice at cost.

Pelican 1400 customized for sound kit available at reduced cost.

Also have a Sony PCM-D50 recorder-- preamps almost as clean as the 7 series!-- with the $500 dedicated phantom-power stereo Sony XLR-1 box (which attaches on the bottom of the recorder, or can be used standalone). Love this unit, but just haven't been using it lately. Will post soon, but feel free to contact me if interested.

(Sorry for the delay.)

Shown in Pelican 1400. (Usually $100 with foam, will throw in this customized one for $50 with purchase.) Photo shows how the case is configured, but Schoeps mk41 mic, AT4073 mic, Sony L battery (you can fit 2) not included!

The Camrade case has two s-clips, as you can see-- rather than shoulder-mounting, I usually use this attached to a tripod or stand. Will throw in the clips, if you want them.

Photos of the Sony PCMD50/XLR package described above is here (again, Schoeps mk41 and XLR cable not included!):
