  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Something New...

Jarred you don't know how prophetic this clip is for me. Our first project slated when our RED ONE arrives is a film that prominently features some sweet bikes. You've got me stoked now! (And I also vote for a Christmas Greeting from Kelly.)

So that explains the mic that Brian was running around with the other day... :)

actually that was unrelated, but we do now know we gotta keep you outta the back from now on heh heh heh.

i was hoping for that.. some people were a little bummed out the last couple days so i thought this might cheer some of you up :)

its quite the roller coaster ride.. put your seatbelts on.

Here is an easy quiz for y'all.

Fabian does climb on. Butch STARTS her up.

FABIAN
Butch, whose motorcycle is this?

BUTCH
It's a chopper.

FABIAN
Whose chopper is this?

BUTCH
Zed's.

FABIAN
Who's Zed?

BUTCH
Zed's dead, baby, Zed's dead.

And with that, the two lovebirds PEEL AWAY on Grace, as the
SONG on the BOOM BOX RISES.

FADE TO BLACK

Gavin... you and I are going to have to talk. :-)

I don't know if anyone has noticed how solid the last few builds have been. I am shooting Build 11 and have not been able to break it.

jim

I would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation....

By the way, the shot looks great and somehow having sound attached really brings this all to life for me, being a sound guy and all.

Steve

thanks Steve.. maybe you should swing by and show me how its done.. :)

Is that my buddy Dave? I should have known he was a fellow Harley rider. He's a really good guy.

Excellent work on getting the sound enabled!

...but am I the only one here who is confused by the motorcycle that appears to have no rear hub? How does it work?

Thats Dave... and your right.. he's one hell of a guy.. and one of the most important members of the RED TEAM, without question.

Excellent work on getting the sound enabled!

Jim.... enough said.

I love the fact that the first official sound released is a revved up Evo. It's what I've been riding for the past 21 years. One of the sweetest sounds on the planet. IMHO

thanks Steve.. maybe you should swing by and show me how its done.. :)

You could have distorted the hell out of the sound, really badly, and I think I would still be happy. Just having sound there is such a relief. Not that I ever doubted you guys.

Steve

Oh.. and obviously im not a sound guy :)

I could tell from the part when you´ve tried to shield the mike from the soundblast.

By sticking it into your pant´s?

;-))

On a serious note: I hope thats what you did and it was not some kind of RED limiter kicking in, because there´s a huge drop in the high spectrum. That would be, ahm .... not so good.

Jochen

I'd like to see how the mic was mounted. So many configurations possible with RED that opens up a whole new world of quality on camera sound.

David

Maybe its just me in my good ol' super optimistic self, but I always "knew" I was going to get my RedOne fully enabled. Sounding off in this manner sure helps to keep my waiting nerves, grounded. Keep it cranking guys!:red_bandana:
