I the spirit of the excitement of all things 4K, here is a trailer for an unpcoming short non-narrative feature i've been shooting for the last 5 years. All shots are Epic or R1 except for a couple DSLR timelapse shots. BTW way, I'm a big fan of Baraka, Timescapes and all things beautiful, there is some really beautiful work coming from this community.

Very cool Mark, I'm off shooting my own non-narritive film. What other places did you film at?

Unfortunately not as many places as I'd like, mostly Europe, South Pacific, Central America and the US. I am planning shoots in Asia and Africa if I can swing it.

Hi Mark,
I worked with a European TV manufacturer for years shooting highly selective subjects and scenes in HD for point of sales.

If you have copyright of the music it is the kind of imagery that LG or others will be interested in for point of sale 4K demo.
Your imagery isn't too taxing for compression or frame rate artifacts and the subject matter has a wide and international appeal.

I expect the shot duration will be longer in the finished piece? The shots in the trailer are too short for the point of sale customer to evaluate resolution.

Great shots! Love these type of films, to me it shows so much. The places you have travelled and locations you chose to document. The world is such a beautiful place and films like these are so important as they inspire travel and to stop and smell the roses so to speak. Well done Mark, looking forward to the finished film.

Thanks Mike,

4K TV markets is very much on our radar but connecting with the right client is the challenge. If someone out there has a connection I'd be happy to cut them in on a deal, pay a commission or something. Yes the finished film has longer shots (8-12 sec. generally) many of the original shots last as long as 3min. I'm thinking UHD wall art in those cases. I could see that kind of stuff passively playing in hotel lobby's, and other upscale public environments. At least that is my goal and hope.

Fantastic stuff Mark. I was just down in Moab showing my family around, and didn't bring my camera along. I've often eaten lunch down at the base of Dead Horse Point on that dirt road. I gotta get back out there and shoot some more.

Amazing stuff all around, especially the green mountains of Europe(?)
