Hello problem with soft image from the raven. we have tried different lenses but most a Canon 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 4.0.
We have installed new firmware and calibration of the sensor, it looks still soft, any tips what too do. Dosen´t look as a back focus problem.
a attach some R3d.

Help someone!!

Can you post some R3D stills? Then we can get into the metadata and maybe see something.

From looking at your r3d I can see that you are on a 24mm F8 canon mount. What 24mm is it, the 24mm canons vary a lot in quality. If its a low cost zoom than thats a great part of the issue. As you have to consider this camera has a smaller sensor than FF which the canon lenses where designed for so if the lens not of best quality that will show faster than if you had a bigger sensor.

Have you done a proper back focus adjustment? (on that note, I hope Raven can modify back focus)

Hello a have used the Canon 24-70 USM I L 2.8, a haven´t done back focus on the raven, just hen a got i from factory. But a used a 16-35 2.8 and that material looks very good

Back focus should not really matter. Bad focus just push the focus range back and forth it has to be really of to put you completely out of range so that is not the issue. I say shit lens.

If you are getting sharp image on L series 16-35 2.8 then some issue with L series 24-70 as that is sharper lens in general.
I have had to take canon lenses to Canon Professional services for maintenance and focus adjustment. Maybe that is what you need to do with the 24-70.
However L series 70-200 is one of the sharper zooms (better than some L series 70-200 f2.8 but not others) so it sounds odd you would have 2 bad lenses - have they been serviced recently? And they have sharp focus when used on 5DMk3 or similar? Use some fine texture target and try with both cameras.
Any chance you have lens autofocus on and continuous focus selected in RED menu? ;) I use manual on lens or do focus once option in RED menu.

True, mine is as well. Its not surprising that so many people hollow them out and make them into drinks mugs.

I bought such a drink mug. Very bad for photography :-)
