Soderbergh's Girlfriend Experience- Trailer Online

Hulu doesn't allow people outside the US to view their videos.
Any idea where else this trailer might be so that all RED users can view it?

Looks kind of cool. But from the trailer it seemed like he could have shot with some faster lenses to get a little more light out of some of those scenes. Granted when you work with that kind of available light sometimes not even the fastest lenses can help you. Still looks interesting and I will see it when it comes out.

Looks like the Youtube trailer that Álex posted is actually different from the Hulu trailer. Both look interesting.

Why does it look like a cheap film school shortfilm?

Maybe just because Soderbergh still "feels" himself like a student :sifone: :cheers2:

"The Girlfriend Experience

SYNOPSIS:

Set in the weeks leading up to the 2008 presidential election, THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE
is five days in the life of Chelsea (adult film star Sasha Grey in her mainstream film debut),
an ultra high-end Manhattan call girl who offers more than sex to her clients, but companionship
and conversation – “the girlfriend experience.” Chelsea thinks she has her life totally under control—she
feels her future is secure because she runs her own business her own way, makes $2000 an hour,
and has a devoted boyfriend (Chris Santos) who accepts her lifestyle.
But when you're in the business of meeting people, you never know who you're going to meet...

The twentieth film from Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh,
THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE is a sexy, gorgeously shot time capsule from the not-too-distant past."

Man! Thanks for posting that YouTube trailer. Looks way cooler than the Hulu one. I think the point of the film was to look film-schooly. It has the documentary day-in-the-life feel to it. We're stepping into her world, so to speak.

Soderbergh could take a shit on a desk and film it in 4k and I'd pay $10 to see it.

Simply, because somebody want it that way. :wink5:
Maybe with whole story it works very well

Of course I was joking.

The movie has to have "a sort of dull look and feeling" like all those adult movies you can find on internet or buy in "sex shops' worldwide.

It is a story taken from real life with real life actress involved.

If somebody didn't get it from beginning, then terribly sorry just because you do not know anything about Soderbergh or art cinema at all.

BTW, Soderbergh started with almost similar topic "Sex, Lies, Videotapes" the movie that won Cannes Palm d'Or and launch Sodebergh's

sort of style and independent way of thinking that is different from the whole mud of Hollywood mainstream instant movie production.

Hope this helps to understand a certain artistic approach and aesthetic involved in that great RED1 project.

Just my opinion but this doesn't interest me in the slightest. Che on the other hand...
