Seriously, to trade down to a Varicam from my Red, would require them to pay me at least enough to cover the cost of buying EpicX.

$30k discount is serious desperation. They must not be selling any.

If you read the offer, it says they will take any camera with a 1/2" or 2/3" sensor in addition to Reds.

This would be a great chance to get rid of an old Betacam (or worse).
