If anyone is interested I have finally cut together some skate/ snow stuff. There are a few videos floating around there, but the red cam is a such a powerful system for slow motion stuff. That i feel it will exploded the skate and snow world.

I would like to hear anyones opinion and thought of the images I got.

Best Regards

I'm ready for a Scarlet 2/3" to get some killer action shots on the mountain, hopefully soon!

Same here. Hopefully it'll be light enough to handhold while I'm boarding... I think it would be safe enough with a screw on filter to protect the lens and maybe some kind of neoprene case to keep it dry...

Gentlemen

So sorry for the wait I've been on a crusher of a shoot. Only been checking the oct 30th announcement on my iphone.

Yes most of the shots that how dual angles, The faster footage is HVX over cranked and the slower is red mostly at 100 FPS and some at 120 FPS

We shot the bulk at Sunshine Mountain outside of Calgary and the skateboarding was filmed in Canmore. The rest of the rail footage was filmed around Calgary.

now don't get me wrong - i love snow-motion and i love slow-motion. and i think you did an awesome job.

however, i would seriously consider using the slow-motion in a more reserved manner. for short clips or teasers it is almost always just plain cool and there's no way to overdo it. but it can be become redundant and totally loses the effect for the really epic shots. i mean, take a look at how many shots are not slo-mo... the less it is used, the more intentional, pronounced, and effective it becomes for the film. just a thought. great work.

You should try to use at least a 90º shutter when filming the Skateboarding, and almost all of the Skateboarding looks washed out. It would look Phenomenal with a little contrast. The mountains behind the Skatepark are gorgeous/ but its hard to tell because of the low contrast, contrast will also help make it look 10x sharper.

BTW the Snowboarding looks fantastic, Lots of Contrast and details.
