  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Skype Meeting (May 31st, 2010)

I should be able to record it Eric.

FYI recording any one's conversation with out their knowledge and or permission, is illegal and punishable by Law across all States in the US, so make sure that if any one intends to record some one else that the individual in question, in this case the participants are asked before end, if okay to be recorded.

1. I don't live in the US and therefore I am not party to the laws of said country =)
2.By posting it on this thread I was going to ask if everyone was ok with it before everyone went a little mad over it.

Maybe I'll just stay out actually, people should relax a little its hardly a shareholders conference call, I thought it was going to be an informal conversation about peoples interests.

Yes but I was offering to do a recording for one person and for my own personal use actually as I was going to ask for feedback on a current project. Hardly selling state secrets.

(Disclaimer: Im having a really shitty day :P)

I hear ya man. I think the reason why I was thinking to not record it was to keep it just that. "an informal conversation about peoples interests"

Sometimes people can open up and be themselves if it's not redistributed over the internet. Know what I mean?

I wouldn't be surprised if we maxed out the 25 participant limit on Skype, but I'd love for to join us Jay. Everyone should have a chance to give something and hopefully all can benefit as well.

Have no clue where I'll be at that point, does skype meeting require anything other then skype? cause I'm in if I can use my iPad for it,

I'm still on a feature; otherwise, it would be great to get some face-time with you folks.

Looks like more than 50% of the participants will be REDusers outside of the US.

I am excited to hear from people representing England, Serbia, Ukraine, Australia, Italy, and Thailand and many more. from all over the US...

Hey Joseph

I'm not gonna say YES just because if I'm not around thats just rude of me to take someones place but if there is a spare space and I'm on Skype is it possible to get in on the action? :sifone: Just purely because I have no clue where I am between the 30th and the 1st,

By the way,3am LA time?

Of course you DON'T have to make it available to everyone. Just record it (with everyone's permission!) for transcription purposes. Then just post interesting bits from the transcription. That way it's just the edited minutes of an informal meeting, so people can be relaxed.

Yeah, man. Totally cool. Do join us if you are on. Even in the crazy off chance that we got the 25 spots filled up, people will probably be dropping by on and off throughout the evening.

It starts at 6pm today, LA time, and ends who knows when?

The couple of hours I was on was a nice way to spend a Tuesday morning :) Would be good to do it again some time, perhaps when more people are available. Problem is it's pretty hard to get both the US and Europe at a good time...

Well, funny thing is that probably 65% of the people were those not in the US. :D

We shall do these once a month, and hopefully get a RED team member as a special guest at some point...
