Nice footage.
I just got back from a one week shoot in the french alps for a snowboard movie. Unfortunately our RED isn't in our hands yet, so I rented a couple XDCAM EX's to do the job!
So, I'm curious, what was the shutter angle of the slow-mo footage? Did you use any Filters, ND, Pola? How did you focus? Focus assist? Red LCD?
I ask all this, because we had a couple of issues with the XDCAM EX, like pink snow when using an ND .6 and a circular pola and leaving the WB at 5700°K (any WB done by the cam ended up greenish). I still didn't figure out if the ND or the pola was doing that effect!
Focusing was a guess at the LCD in the bright sunlight and the EVF is just a joke in terms of resolution.
So what was your experience?
