  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Single Frames on Scarlet

In addition to the 'External Frame Trigger' mode that Trent mentioned, you can also limit R3D clips to a specific number of images by checking the 'Limit Recording to' check-box and selecting any number of images to capture within a single clip. Your clip will automatically close and recording will stop after capturing the selected number of frames.

Both of these features are available in the 4.0.3 beta firmware.

- In the Recording Dialog set the Recording Mode to "External Frame Trigger".
- Map a key to "Record: External Frame Trigger".
- Press Record to start a recording (the first frame will be captured)
- Press your mapped key to capture a frame (repeat for as many frames as you like)
- Press Record to stop recording frames to that file.

This was hellafun with my Star Wars figurines ;)

Thanks for the tip Trent.

Now back to real work ;)

- In the Recording Dialog set the Recording Mode to "External Frame Trigger".
- Map a key to "Record: External Frame Trigger".
- Press Record to start a recording (the first frame will be captured)
- Press your mapped key to capture a frame (repeat for as many frames as you like)
- Press Record to stop recording frames to that file.

You can also set the number of frames to capture per trigger - allowing you to perform a burst capture with each key-press. Note that your current FPS will determine the rate of these extra frame captures.
