The IS on the new Sigma 120-300 2.8 is not recognized on the EPIC. Anyone know a work around or a fix for getting the IS working. I need it for those cross valley action shots when I am all in at 2k.

Thanks

Rex

Is there any sigma is that work on the canon mount?

I know for a fact they are profiling the 18-35mm f/1.8. Hopefully this leads to more Sigma love. I've got a couple of dinosaurs I want to strap to my camera.

I dont think the 18-35 has is. I better have another look.

Now a supported lens (firmware 5.2.9) but for me at least the image stabiliser still doesn't work. Turning it on breaks all lens/camera communication and the stabiliser doesn't actually switch on.

Gutted. Got me hopes up there...

The same is true for the 17-70 macro lens works fine until you enable IS, all my other sigmas work fine 30mm and 70-200

I'm now on 5.1.47 production firmware, which should support this lens and does seem to enable auto focus (though I don't use this) but still no joy with the IS. I'm spending my time out on a small, windy, tidal island, trying to film tiny wading birds, with this lens on a 2x tele convertor. Image stabilisation would change my life. Any news would be greatly appreciated (even if it's to say 'this will never work', then I can get on and sell the lens).
