  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

It's still there if you follow the direct link, but it's not showing on the main New Releases page...
 
so the floodgates are waiting to be released, then. i think that's something to be excited about.

It never was... it was suggested to me some time ago (no names, no pack drill) that occasionally, typing the name of an unreleased RED product into the URL can produce interesting results. Tonight I tried dsmc-side-handle with gratifying results :-)

Things are obviously moving at RED; this is a very exciting time! I recall the RED ONE being called 'vapourware' by some Philistines and FUDsters, at one time. Then, EPIC became the 'when???' camera.

If I may be forgiven for quoting The Smiths, How Soon Is Now? :-)

I don't understand why you guys are fretting so much. Side handle is included in Stage 2. Why do you care if it's in the store? What am I missing?
 
Stage 2 does not come with the side handle

If most of you are like me waiting for Stage 3. Im getting the room ready for the baby by getting the support out of the way for my Epic, so when it comes Im not sitting here at 4 in the morning on the other side of the planet hoping for one more thing to buy for the baby room before it goes in to back order and then 4 days later finding out Im 2002 on the waiting list.
Still exciting though.....

Awesome! This is where I wish they'd update us on what comes in packages, especially Scarlet stuff. It sounds like some epic folk have been waiting for components coming in bits to be able to shoot. I'd like to put orders in for certain parts and components that aren't in the package before they're extremely back ordered, or the price jump.

I think they'll offer some different "ready-to-shoot"-packages, but I also think they'll leave it up to people to choose whatever they want with a Scarlet-F body purchase. So I believe there will be packages with different configurations and there will be a "body"-only offer (probably with the SSD-side module as default) and then it's up to one self if they want the 5" or 9" lcd for example.

So if you want to save some money on the side handle, redmote and 5" lcd, then I believe you should get those parts now :)

(unless you believe that Scarlet-F will be released before the new year. And who knows, maybe there'll be a special offer if you get a package with some different stuff?!) ;D
