Hello,
having issues in last 14days with changing shutter speed during shoot and before shoot - shutter set on 180° but sometimes it will change right after press rec button or during shoot to 172.8° or even to 78° or 85°. I try to clear all other choices with only 180° left to be sure there is other option but camera will create and change to other one anyway and yeah sometimes the difference is very visible... anybody any ideas to do ?

Red Scarlet MX
fw 6.2.44

thank you

Martin -- what lens (or lenses) has this happened with ? Nikon or Canon -- Please be specific also as to the brand of the lens. Try more than one lens and see if the same syndrome persists.

Tx,
Serge

happend with both Canon lenses - Sigma ART 18-35mm f/1.8 and Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM II

Make sure that the exposure assist option has not been activated.

yes checked it twice before - its not activated and i never used it, same for auto focus and so .. i will give it a try with new fw 6.2.55

Martin -- I've had problems with the Tamron 15-30 EF lens on my Epic Dragon, on and off with various firmware releases. With 6.2.55, I found that when Powering On, if I had a 'simple' Canon lens with a CPU mounted (e.g., the 35mm f/2 IS) FIRST, and THEN mounted the Tamron, the Tamron would then work. And the Tamron would work thereafter when the 15 - 30 was the lens mounted when I powered up. So once the camera and lens successfully 'talked' to each other, no problems.

If you have a 'simpler' Canon than the EF 24 - 70 L II, you might Power On with that lens & then see if the camera & the Sigma communicate reliably. IIRC, I dropped back from 6.2.51 to 6.2.44 because 6.2.44 worked much better for me with the Tamron. Never detected the shutter speeds changing with any lens or firmware version, but then I shoot 29.97 @ 1/60 99.999999% of the time.

Suggest you send a log file in.

FWIW -
Serge
