Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Dunno how to answer that, because on one hand: Sure I do...
And on the other... Well. I just play around (That's the arrogant answer, right)
I basically try to become friendly with the Epic.
In a way that I'll be able to get an expression home "no matter what", be it with a ton of HMI's and MasterPrimes, or available light (whatever that is) and some slow old grainy glass...
I won't get "the same" expression under those two conditions, but I can still (if I can controll the cam) get something home.
I tend to think to be concious about not making "plasticcy" skintones...
The cam doesn't do that, but some images seem to get them.
But I do like textures.
That can be done in a number of ways and in a number of exposure and post phases. Adding grain, through ISO, can be one such way...
Using "imperfect glass" can be another
Over- and underexposing for "life" can be a third.
has to be related to practical conditions and subject at hand...
She looks like such a firecracker in the rest of the series. I really do feel like I know her (or at least her type if you know what I mean). You captured a great range of character. Again, well done.
While I like his images a lot (surprise! ), and the Epic may be my cardboard cam, I have to mention that people mostly actually know I am taking the pictures...
