  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Shot on RED...

Is that the same Jon Darbonne from Houston, TX? If so, a friend of mine worked as a grip with that guy many many years ago on a project. I really liked his camera work. I was trying to get that guys rate info in case I ever got a gig after I get my camera. He's the only DP whose name I know of locally, but it looks like he's not local anymore.

Will PM you with Jon's info.

Yay, #18 on the list is my web sitcom Couch Cases (www.couchcases.com) that's just now finishing up post!

Actually, Red #2464 is being used only for exteriors for Season One- but that's only because we'd already shot all the interiors with another camera that's not anything near as cool as Red One.

Next season will be 100% Red One. We LOVE this camera, and can't wait for the free audio board upgrade, too. It certainly is going to class up our little microbudget show.

More Legend of Awesomist Maximus grabs

More Legend of Awesomist Maximus grabs

I asked Jon Darbonne if I could post these grabs he sent me from The Legend of Awesomist Maximus he's shooting in Utah. Nice looking stuff. They're apparently doing a fair amount of grading on the fly, creating looks during rehearsals. The DIT is Thor Wixon, by the way. Kudos, guys.

I reduced these down to 1000 pixels wide.

Today is the last day on set for #2322 in Oakland CA for the Feature Film "Everyday Black Man."
The film looks great and the actors are really fabulous! Happy to say that #2322 has not had a glitch on the entire shoot and was a pleasure being broken in on this amazing film.

I am pleased to report that REDs #791 and #1256 have just wrapped the (very) indie romantic comedy "Works in Progress." Now the magic begins.

:-)
