We start shooting today for a national broadcast for Versus (the same channel that brings you the Tour de France, NHL...). Today is an experiment. If it goes well, you'll be able to catch a bit of RED footage on Versus in August.

I wonder if we will have the first full length sports event shot on RED.

The IMDB list only notes what productions tell them. There are only a half a dozen Phantom jobs listed there, even though all our cameras are constantly working all the time. Do the same search for VariCam, CineAlta or even Arri and you'll get only a fraction of the actual production.

After shooting the Allstate campaign with 2 REDs I decided to do the same for my next project, a TV pilot - "Lake Hartwell."
We finished principal photography and I can say the using the REDs was the best choice I could make for the job.
