  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Shot on RED - Raven

A colleague at school approached me to make a dance video for an installation as part of her senior thesis. The installation was a dedication to the old dean of her school, whom she never met. Obsessed about the myth of the dean responsible for the merger of Parsons and the New School, she and I set out to create the myth of dean levy, recreating his office and using archival documents and bad make up that aspired to question what was real and what was fantasy in a quasi studio dreamscape. Directed by me, produced and danced by Ting Teal, shot on the red raven. Enjoy. :)

Here's the short doc that accompanies the teaser I posted a few weeks ago. Overview of Rashid Johnson's exhibit "Hail We Now Sing Joy" at the Milwaukee Art Museum. All shot on Raven using the Sigma Art 18-35mm and my Canon 70-200mm.

Excellent music vid. Beautifully shot and graded. Say, how did you get the Leica R on there? Is there an adapter I don't know about?

This was a test short that I shot with my partners at Running Bear Films; Stephen and Alexa. We just delivered a video for this artist that I can't share but in the meantime enjoy this short that we did to get the artist's attention. It worked.

Hi Patrick, thank you! I simply get the Leitax EF bayonet that screws directly onto the original mount, that makes a perfect fit with no play at all ;)

Hey Taylor. Just Watched the Lecile Harris trailer on Vimeo.....really beautiful man! I'm very intrigued by the Raven and this is one of the best films of seen shot with it! Hope all is well with you and good luck with that project.

Thank you- The Lecile doc means a ton to the three of us that are making it. I just wrapped a feature shot 90% Raven called fishbowl. We used the IPP2 post pipeline- all that said, yes, the Raven is crazy. If you feed it right it gives you back beautiful images.

Such great imagery. What were the hardest shots to pull off with the Raven? I'd love to hear your insight.

I know I'm late to this thread but I finally got the opportunity to test out my Raven and I'm still learning the new camera system but here is some footage from my first shoot with the camera: https://youtu.be/Ns2g2knRXVk

Lenses used: Sigma 18-35 f1.8, Tokina 11-16 f2.8, Rokinon 24mm T1.5
