Shot entirely on iPhone 5!!!

"Thirty years ago Macintosh promised to put technology in the hands of the people.

To celebrate Mac's birthday, this film was shot around the world in one day, entirely on iPhone.

Here's to the next thirty."

Remarkable to consider how far things have come since 1984. This was shot on a telephone! And think how funny it is to call it a "tele"-phone nowadays.

I marvel at the technology when compared to my original Mac SE with its 20MB hard drive, 2.5MB of RAM. Had to put in a protective plastic sleeve in the 3.5" drive slot if I were to move the computer around.

enjoyed this…!!

The "shot in one day" seems a bit of a crock - what, shot in one day by 15 crews? It was hardly one filmmaker passionately traversing the globe with their iPhone. But... Apple know marketing.

It's not the first time a "Day in the life" theme has been done before. Many times a group of photographers plan ahead to shoot their locale on the same day. It was never intended to appear as if it were a single entity capturing all the images, but rather the collective group of people doing remarkable things with their Mac, iPad and iPhones. No harm, no foul.

Fair call, true that.

LOL - at 0.48 "it's exciting, cause it's spontaneous" - yeah coordinating 15 crews with drones, cranes, dollies, andwhatnot, from a huge control center with a ton of heavy duty gear around the world, sounds rather carefully and painstakingly planned over months to me, than " spontaneous".

Apple wasn't hiding the crews that were behind the images, the crews are intentionally visible in the shots. The point being made is that all of these images were shot on the iPhone.

... and recorded in glorious ProRes on a Atomos Ninja

Frank, I don't see what you're trying to do here. They shot in a single day on iPhones around the world, and gave it as much support as they could to get great shots. The behind the scenes was very telling and clearly not trying to hide the effort they put into it. The alleged ARRI files may have been part of the behind the scenes as they were quite pretty and no one said the behind the scenes was shot on iPhone. Some assistant coffee gopher could have noticed and posted without the facts.

If you don't like Apple, that's cool, but it seems like you're desperate to catch them in a lie or something. I think they have been completely upfront.

I don't know, I understand all the crew and equipment support for a professional looking spot. Now, to say it was all shot on iPhone, but some was recorded on a Ninja, that's a little bit of a cheat in my opinion. And I'm a huge apple fan. Have a number of their devices and love them all!
