  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Shortest & fastest lens...?

the 12mm Master Prime isn't short. If you want a very small and fast lens go with a Leica 50mm noctilux. It's very small, almost toy like.

When we talk about lens length here, it refers to focal length, not its form factor, (similarly to lens speed having nothing to do with MPH ;^)

Let's try this again....

There are wider focal lengths with the kind of speed you are after that cover 4k.

8mm Ultra Primes [T2.8] Wide but one stop less in speed. 114 degree FOV
10mm Ultra Prime [T2.1] 102 degree FOV
12mm Ultra Prime [T2] 92.6 degree FOV
14mm Ultra Prime [T1.9] Consider by some to be the best of the Ultra Prime lineup.

12mm and 14mm Master Primes

Then there is the Tokina 11-16mm Zoom which it seems everyone on the planet likes.
The shortest & fastest lens I currently have is a 1.8/f 20mm Sigma (for Canon). I wonder if there's a lens as fast but shorter than this (preferable <11mm) that will handle 4K...?

Interesting.

What's the coverage like?
Nikkor 24mm f1.4- the sharpest wide angle in the world (still) and it doesn't cost $10K like the Leica 24mm- (btw the leica won't fit on Epic)

Full frame..?
18mm-1p8.jpg

worst case, 18mm f1.8
