Funny story (not really), this was going to be shot last year as the first thing I shot with my Scarlet when it came in. I named the short "Scarlet" because I'm so damn clever...but work got in the way, and I didn't have time, couldn't find the location, etc. etc. etc. Changed the name back to what it was originally.

Finally finished it today. Really happy with how it turned out.

It's based off of the Creepy Pasta of the same name.

Great work Brandon!
Very nice cinematography. Composition, camera movement!
And good actors too!
Kudos!

Shot on Rokinon cines. Mostly the 35mm. I wish I had the 24mm at the time, the OTS over the Clerks shoulder was tough bceause I was pinned against the wall and had very little mobility.

Nicely done... and definitely had the creep factor.

Yep watched this first thing this morning.

Did give me the creeps during eyeball scene.

How did you do that one?

Post?

We shot the elements.

1. Wide shot of the room.

2. Macro shot of the eyes.

3. Macro shot of the keyhole.

Then put them into 3D space in After Effects and used a 3D camera to handle the rest, essentially.

Oh yah! I need to update it, there's some info that I didn't put in (reflections removed, pans/tilts retimed, etc.)
