So if this is single camera, are you recording two images side-by-side on the same sensor, thus splitting the resolution in half?
Yes, the RED Epic camera sensor has enough resolution to accommodate two 16:9 full HD frames side by side.
Hello Maciej,
looks interesting!
any progress on this? did you build this yourself?
best,
Joost
you can also do a horizontal flip digitally... no?
What is Ralistic 3D AKA "Ortho"?
It is real World scene projected on a screen with view angle which matches the 63mm IO stereoscopic camera the real World scene was captured by.
Did you know that no Hollywood movie producer had ever created Realistic 3D content.
- The typical pupillary distance for adults is around 54–68 mm, while measurements generally fall between 48 and 73 mm.
- For children the measurement usually ranges from 41 to 55 mm.
- The 95 percentile adult male in the USA has an IPD of 70 mm (2.8 in) and the 5 percentile, 55 mm (2.17 in). Those are each the 5% of USA men at the far range and short range, respectively.
- For adult females in the USA the figures are 65 and 53 mm (2.6 and 2.1 in).
- For Europeans the figures are 1 mm smaller than the above.
In preproduction for indie feature potentially in 3D. Would love to try this thing out with a dragon for my prepro trailer... Any chance of test rentals in upcoming months?
Realistic has 63mm stereo base and the classic one has 140 mm base which creates miniaturized scenes (best for group of people/sporting events).Interesting - I see you have 2 3d adapters for Epic - what is the difference between them.
