DOn't do it..
get an A-box, and at least a Mix-pre... if it has a mic level out..
DONT expect good results from just a cable to brain from mixing board in live sound venue..
you want to be able to adjust or mix the feed down to a signal that will sound good on your camera...
you either need to charge rent on it, or be resigned to loosing jobs for poor results..
Other cheap option... get a digital recorder that takes line level in, and use the headphone out to send a low quality scratch track to brain.. then in post use the digital recorder's audio track...
the bare brain is a BAD choice of a standalone audio recorder...
