This is not a finished piece, and I'm seeking any feedback anyone is willing to share on the grade. Hence posting it here, instead of the Shot on RED forum.

This is my first effort at grading a full piece. This was shot on my EPIC, edited in Premiere, VFX in After Effects, grading in Resolve with a H.264 output from Premiere where I married the graded video and the audio coming from Pro Tools. I used 16-bit DPX files for the VFX overlays.

I am also using a Looklabs LUT at the track level. Although I'm building this out to have a comedic tone, I wanted this to look pretty gritty and a bit techno.

I'm looking to see if I've made any of the classic mistakes. I'm sure I have, I just don't know what they are. Also, any tips, suggestions for looks, corrections I can make etc., would be much appreciated. I'm learning as I go along. If anyone prefers to email me the feedback, please send it to nikhil@kamkol.com

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks to all who've send me emails with your notes/comments! Much appreciated.

I noticed one thing when I watched this on a large TV. In the last scene, I'm seeing banding issues on the walls. This may be a Vimeo encoding artifact, but since that's where I need to have this look its best --

Is the solution to blur the background some?
I'll also try to use shapes to take light off the walls, but I'm not sure if that's the right way to get rid of these banding issues.
The Master Project settings are set to image processing in 32 bit floating point. Should that be different?
I do zoom into the frame and I confirmed that my Image Scaling is set to : "Uses sharper filter" which the manual says is the best quality, and "Anti-alias edges" is Auto. I'm going to try setting it to OFF, see if that helps.

Anything else I could possibly play with?

Many thanks again!
Nikhil
