I'm looking for a 6 pin LEMO male to male adapter/barrel connector/gender changer/whatever you want to call it. If that makes sense.

I basically want to connect the 10ft LEMO Red Power cable I have to the existing 6ft LEMO Red Power cable that is part of the RED AC Adapter... for a total of 16ft. Any ideas?

as far as I know there is no such gender changer readily available, but that's not a problem. As a part of our business, we offer that kind of equipment customizing.

Would you rather like to have that gender changer 1. rigid (meaning the two plugs directly connected together) or 2. with a short piece of cable in the middle? The cable solution certainly would be much cheaper because it would not need a special intermediate part.

When extending the/a power cable, you should be aware that the voltage at the output drops under load, due to internal resistance, the longer the cable is. Even though, 10ft plus 6ft should not be a problem when you use the right cable (i.e. with sufficient wire diameter). A averagely equipped RED one draws about 6.5-8 Amps when booting. This is a lot and should not be underestimated.

I would be interested too in such an adapter. How much would option 2 cost?
Thanks.

With a 1ft cable, this adapter would cost USD 112 plus shipping/taxes (or 80 EUR plus shipping/taxes for European customers). Please send us a PM for further details.

I would be interested in option two as well... a one foot intermediate cable would actually be kind of nice! The price seems very fair. I'll take one... where do we go from here?

Andrew,

still interested in that? We collected quite a lot of requests and plan a production batch.

BTW: we got killed by the mysterious 'real name' policy and did not get any answer to our three complaint eMails from the moderator yet (after three weeks!). Hope this issue will be solved soon and we are back to normal...

It's actually a single piece, rigid, bulkhead socket-to-socket adapter, but serves the same function!

Bought from LEMO UK no problems, but unusually LEMO USA seems to not have it readily available. Usually it's us Brits that envy US equipment options!
