I'm on the middle of a shoot in studio and the videoasist guy plugged an SDI cable into my camera and got stuck. Anyone have any advice on how to unstuck it?

Sometimes the connectors can be assembled just a little bit “off” or the barrel end on the camera can have the center pin barrel just a tick too long and when you fully lock them together there is simply too much tension for them to release and you need a pair of pliers to be able to get the leverage to twist it back off. I have a similar issue with the TC port on my F55 and the Tentacle cables. Also, if they’re just old, beat-up cables, they can be a PITA. Used to run into this with satellite trucks, back in the day. I started just using short jumper cables from their BNC to my cam with my own cables that I knew were good.
Just get a pair of pliers or leatherman, etc. and be careful.
