Hi,

a few quick questions:

Does Red Touch LCD come with the screws to attach it to Scarlet body? How many? What kind of screws are those and where do I get spares (i am sure I will lose them at some point :))?

Also, how many holes are there on the mounting base of the LCD and are they threaded?

I believe I have seen answers to some of these questions before on reduser, however google is not my friend today...

Thanks a lot,
Kamilla

5 holes, two threaded.. The pattern is alternating starting and ending with unthreaded... i.e. holes 1,3,5 are non-threaded. Holes 2,4 are threaded.

It comes with either two or three 1/4 20 screws. I only have two, but I have a feeling I lost one.

Curious how people are mounting their LCDs, actually. Three screws in unthreaded holes 1,3, and 5.. or two screws in the threaded holes 2, and 4. Or two screws in unthreaded holes 1 and 5. The possibilities are endless.

Mine came with two and it doesn't provide a tight lockdown. I am missing a washer?

Are you using the threaded or unthreaded holes? If you use threaded, switch to unthreaded. That should solve your problem.

Question:

How would you mount the LCD in a hotshoe mount? Can you?

No. It's designed to be mounted with 1/4 20 screws. I've been able to mount it securely to the single 1/4 20 hole at the top of the sliding top handle, no problem.
There are many different ways to attach it to the camera once you get some additional rail accessories.

Don't worry, you didn't loose one, mine only came with 2 so I assume yours did as well.

Thanks, Louis. That's good to know. I think using the outermost unthreaded holes is the way to go. Pretty secure for me.
