  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Schneider ND Group Buy

OK - here are the order details. The 1.8 ND's are custom orders and in very short supply so there will be a wait for those. These are the best prices you can get anywhere I'm aware of but Schneider margins aren't that big for the dealers to begin with. (sorry for the delays in this buy - I've been on the road and communication has been erratic.)

Hey guys,

I don't like to intrude in other people's post for purchases deals unless I can offer a better deal and in this case I may just be able to do so and give a better price on this filters.

Tomorrow I will have the final answer and pricing from my contact and I will post it here.

Apology to anyone if this is considered an intrusion, but I do so with every one best interested in mind and only to save us all money to be able to buy more stuff for our REDs.

Ketch, are you trying to get a Schneider deal or some other brand?

If Ketch doesn't get a better one, how can I get in on this deal? I'd like a 1.2 ND, 1.8 ND and a horizontal soft edge grad.

Believe me Shawn, I'm trying to impose power buys on every company I deal with and as you can see it is not only for KETCHFRAME STUDIOS but it is also for everyone here as well.

I believe that incorporating my company purchases with the ones from all REDUSERs can and will benefit all of us.

I will post tomorrow for details if I managed to do this.

Go for it Ketch! You've been great for the community and have contacts I don't. I did my best and I'm not personally getting anything out of this myself so I'm not offended. (would've be nice if you responded when I mentioned the idea and prospective pricing in the beginning so I didn't waste my or anyone else's time)

I will add that anyone who can get a 1.8 ND anywhere should grab it because I don't think they exist in any quantity. I think only a RED owner would want one. They should be showing up in quantity in the coming months.

As to everyone else's questions just email the sales email I posted earlier. Shipping around the world will be case by case so please ask them. Also, any other product Schneider sells is something you can request group pricing on so just ask.

and sorry about not posting earlier is just that between all the staff is going on for my company and all the rest that I get involved in I have not posted as much not having cruised the forum as much as I would like to and just found out about the possibility of the filter deal as it was offered to me wile making a complete different purchase.

Thanks for your kind words and again my apologies for coming a little much later with this offer and go over your work and the already made purchases of the filters.

Again this just happened (actually it has yet to happen) as tomorrow I will confirm this new deal as well as I'm in the process of making other companies in the industry provide with their products at my discounts to all of the REDUSER community.

Just a note....the ND 1.8 are a list item ($305 rrp) on the 2008 catalogue.
I guess they're in short supply while they ramp up/ gauge the demand.

Yes Dave,

it is the way the market goes, supply and demand, and RED is in part causing this as so many camera are selling more lenses, more filters and more everything is in high demand, so at the begin with short supply prices can and will increase as the items in need become harder to come by, but then fortunately thanks to the RED ripple effect many companies do realize the incredible amount of cameras do to be delivered month after month so we will have an increasing number of manufacturing products by different companies trying to get a piece of the REDvoulution, so ultimately the prices are do to drop and many items will be available for RED camera owners like they had never been before seen for any other manufactured camera product.

Though you guys might be able to use the current Schneider retail price list and apply whose ever's discount you decide.

The 2008 prices are only $5-10 more. Overseas buyers should be cool.
