  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

can't wait! I'm more than paying attention.... I'm spreading the word... red-evangelizing the crowd ;) november is not close enough....
 
I'll be there. I even created a desktop wallpaper so every time I start my Macbook Air, I'm prompted with a nice message to be there at RECON...

I'll probably be forever branded as a smartass for typing this. :)
But I'm just curious and trying to figure it out as I'm no native speaker... so sorry, about that, not trying to offend anyone!

I never really thought about it because reckon was for me always clear what it meant.
now I tried to translate it for a friend and wasn't really finding that one single correct word to translate it to.
so I checked and found that there's recon and reckon... so my question is:

shouldn't "recon" be "reckon"?

or am I missing something here? sorry everyone, just trying to understand.

I wouldn't miss it for anything! I do hope, however, that nobody is left disappointed come Nov 3rd, whether it is due to price, technical specs or availability.
 
Hi Patrick! I think recon is short for reconnaissance, another word for scouting ahead. Often used in the military for a unit that goes ahead of the main army to see what is coming up. I could be wrong, but that is how I always took it here; seeing what is coming next!

Well if you build this hype up like this, i expect a lot, so don't disappoint us, also in terms of being ready to ship this stuff.
 
about 2 weeks ago some nice folks broke into my brand new apartment and stole EVERY part of my - within 2-years collected - DSLR stuff. Every adapterring, every filter, all lenses... just everything. So now I am so desperatly looking forward to your new toys. I just pray for good availability. Jim, don't let me down!
