Hey guys!
I first learned about Scarlet from Ted at NAB three years ago... and that makes this even sweeter.

Recently picked up Scarlet #642 - GINOSAJI from Irvine, CanonAl mount with Side Handle. (SO# was 051416) Already received LCD, redvolts, top handle, Redmag.
The lens mount works so smoothly. LCD attaches easily to top handle with a single screw:

Love the programmable user buttons on the side handle

Still plan to get PL mount, RPP's, gunner, top plate, rail components, etc...

Did my first test shoot last night on Wilshire Blvd in L.A... still learning the post workflow.

If you're wondering where the name GINOSAJI comes from... it's the "killer" in this horror-comedy: :emote_popcorn:

cheers,
Richard

Hahaha dude, perfect name! I love The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon!!! Cracks me up every time.

Congrats on the camera, Richard. Enjoy!

Like it or not, Richard, we're Scarlet bros

Both in LA to boot. Congrats!
Hey Doug, that's awesome: #642 & #643! GINOSAJI & KONG! Two legendary creatures side-by-side!

@Trevor & Prince, M.Halsell, and Jan - Thanks!

Just wondering how many days shooting?

We shot for 22 days total, mostly on weekends. Insane for a ten min. short, I know.
But to make it feel like a real trailer for an epic movie, it required tons of locations. I've shot feature films in fewer days than that.
End of the day, it was well worth the effort-- got some great attention from it.

Can't wait to put the Scarlet to work on a feature! I'm gearing up to shoot one later this year.
