Jim did you copy my set up? ;)

Actually I think we have the same vision! You're a few pieces ahead of me though...I'm still waiting on my rods and release plate as well as the 5.0 touch LCD and the side handle. How is the tripod your using handling the weight of the 18-85mm lens?
Loved the test footage you shot- I'm trying to figure out how I can power up without the side handle. Right now all I have is the AC adapter. I do have a V mount and some IDX batteries I use for my Marshall monitor but I need to check the power specs- I don't wanna fry my new Scarlet.
may just have to shoot AC for a while.

I have the Cartoni Focus HD which holds 26lbs capacity. The full set up weighs somewhere around 26ish. So, im teetering right on the limit, but the tripod is a beast and is handling it fantastic.

Im in love with the 18-85, but it is definitely very very very heavy.

My Manfrotto is rated for 30 lbs but even with my HVX200 fully loaded with matte box and monitor it seems insufficient. Might have to upgrade soon. Are you shooting with any other lenses besides the 18-85mm?

Not yet,

Sooner or later im going to get some primes.
