A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding video with Elena (our Scarlet) This is no ordinary wedding video however, this is a project I've had in mind for a very long time. Something we like to call the Wedding Concept Cinema. The video is far from being technically perfect since we had no budget for it, and I'm still working on making a better grade, but I wanted to share it with you all to get some feedback. (The intro to our logo is super cheesy but bear with me, I just started lo learn After Effects :001_rolleyes
A brief introduction:
The idea is writing a short film that is somehow tied with the Wedding Day, that we can film most of the short film prior to the wedding, shoot some stuff during the wedding day and show it during the reception, making it a very special moment throughout the wedding celebration. This could be an original story, or a homage to a movie or pop culture. I pitched the idea to one of the couples I was going to work with, and being movie fanatics themselves, they loved the idea.
The idea:
Since they were movie fanatics they decided to pay homage to a few movies: Inception, Terminator 2, Anchorman, Grease, and IP Man (which sadly ended in the cutting floor due to length). It was a big challenge to write a coherent story by trying to use all these elements, but I'm very happy with the results.
