Hi all,

After successful shoots over the course of the last 3 months my Scarlet-W has become Unresponsive! The camera will power on however it doesn't display an image and it will not read the mini mag. I've tried the following:

A hard restore
Upgraded the firmware again (v6.3.27)
Changed touch screen (4.7")locations on the body.
Tried sdi and hdmi on V lock I/O
Swapped V lock I/O with Jetpack hdmi

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I will also be submitting a support request.

i have noticed on mine, sometimes I will boot it up and I will get just black. It only started happening when i had a remote follow focus and a teradeck connected. switching everything off, taking the lemo cord completely off the camera and restarting would work for me. (I use a 5" touch"

Hi Matthew,

I'm in Melbourne, Australia. Unfortunately there are very few RED cameras around.

The only sound it makes is that of the fans running.

ive encountered the same problem on a Weapon Magnesium i rented this weekend also.
I connected a teradek to the dtap and the camera went black.
Then i plugged it into the dtap on the brick and it was fine. So i ran the rest of the day with a dtap splitter on the brick itself instead of the baseexpander.

I've had similar problems, it had to do with the monitor. Perhaps you have the same issue, try taking the monitor off/on and clean the pins and air blow dust. Hopefully it's not anything more serious
