  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thanks... that will help cut through to some of the meat of the messaging when I don't have a ton of time to sift through...
 
I think Allocations typically happen around 4pm PST. Hoping there is a yuuuuuuuge blast today, since it'll help set the tone for the rest of the allocations coming next week so that *hopefully* all the raven to s-w switchovers get notified by this same time next week.
 
No allocation for me today. First 3 hours of Raven Pre-order swapped to S-W package.
 
nothing. ordered 12 minutes after live on 9/24…thats how long it took to find my wallet.
 
Still hopeful that all raven to s-w switchovers will get allocated by the end of next week, as stated... but from the looks of how the allocation rate has been going, it's not looking pretty :(

I think a lot of the initially manufactured units went out to various red dealers around the US and Europe first. At least that's where i'm seeing a lot of people who have received the units already on various social media (FB/IG)

And your are getting Raven. For those that switched Raven to Scarlet-W, Jarred said they should have all the allocations out by end of month.

I think they sold a lot more than they thought they would. Also I would imagine adding all those cases is not a little deal. But hey im not booked in April yet... Scarlet-w + epic dragon looking for work, willing to travel!
 
How about I buy you a few beers and you let me mess around with that W of yours ;)? Did you get that Adobe plugin beta? The FCPX works beautifully! Been messing around with some W footage from a few of my friends. It's BUTTER.
 
Finally used the SW on a gig today and it performed as expected. Just need to figure out how to handle the footage.
 
got it to work in FCPX today actually, looking forward to messing around with premiere tomorrow and see whats up. Brandon, I have been having great success recording the prores alongside the redcode and presenting the .mov for clients to work with for now (letting them know it may be a little time before they can manipulate the R3D in adobe) . As a back up I have been transcoding the R3D files in redcine as an additional 1080 prores backup.
