  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-W has Begun...

Curious to see when people will start receiving their Scarlet-W I/O package emails. It's gonna kill me if mine comes while i'm shooting overseas all next week...

My Order Receipt Date:
September 25, 2015 18:12 - then switched to Scarlet-W when it became available.

I don't know, but I think it was on the 10th...I just had to mull it over for the day, hence the later time....I live on the east coast so for me it would have been three hours later. I should add that the money has been sitting, burning a hole in my account since then....Please Brent and Jarred!! Take my money already!!!

I just remember seeing Jarred's Facebook post saying "Scarlet-W pre-orders are open", I think the post was about 2 hrs old when I saw it. I just immediately clicked the link and placed my order.

Wonder what that means for 7" CF orders. I'm already prepared for a long wait because I'm later in the queue and I ordered a la carte so I could get the larger monitor. Might be awhile, LOL! That's the risk you run buying a bunch of new gear before it's released, so it's all good.

Sorry if it's been asked, but we can't really use the cameras without expanders... So are those going to be available for order soon for the brain buyers..?

Edit: just noticed you can order them now but it says will ship in about a month after you order.

you need one of the modules, if you expect a brain soon, then you might want to get at least a jet pack since its available now, most people preordered the others a long time ago.

They've got the camera manufacturing down pretty darn pat... now if they could just get that good at module making. '-)
 
Anxiously awaiting my Scarlet-w package. I executed the scarlet dragon upgrade and have a timestamp of 12/10 at 18:46. I'm hoping to have some news and or pics to share this week as I'll be picking up will call . . .
 
What is the rough time delay between getting your scarlet-w email and actually having the camera in your hands if you're on the east coast / nyc area?
 
I'm not sure where I fall in at, my order date is December 21. I don't expect to see my scarlet anytime soon, though I'm curious how long between order cycles does it take if that makes any sense? Thanks

Also, speaking of packaging, I am sure the initial SCARLET-W brain only guys won't mind that we don't have our official branded SCARLET-W shipping boxes until mid next week, so these first deliveries will just be in a black generic DSMC2 box.... We didn't want to hold things up for just that!

Guys & Gals,

Asking for an ETA is impossible. Thing to know is cameras are being blasted. It will take a bit to get through the dense order days such as RAVEN order timestamps and Scarlet-W launch dates. People who use the forums will post when they get allocation emails and you can base it off that. Brent also posts updates, such as Matthew's timestamp being the last one on the first blast.

Asking them to tell you when you are getting your camera is pointless because in all honesty, they don't have a firm date, nor would they be able to give that information because that indirectly speaks about how many orders they got. Things competitors would die for to have. So just stay cool! Enjoy the content folks will post and soon enough, you'll have your W's!
 
I'm sure all the new orders will ship fast vs upgrading units
