  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-W has Begun...

Not sure if you meant other modules but the REDVOLT XL modules, REDCAST, and Jetpack are in stock ;)
The I/O V-Lock and Base Expander is 2-3 weeks if ordered today. Only the REDVOLT expander is still coming soon.

I placed an order for both I/O expanders over a week ago and rep told me i would have to wait till end of march.. but yes i don't plan on buying a new redvolt xl, just borrowing one as a temporary solution.. the camera needs to be on set early march.

Actually I DID ask for the expander back on dec 11th when i placed the order.. I was unaware they took pre orders on the accessories.. wish i did now
 
I'm really hoping that most of the bodies have already been shipped so that we can start to see packages roll out next week. Super exciting!

yeah im seeing the sell off of xl modules that came with the weapon pkgs go for about 5-600, nice price, if only they were selling the batteries too. i think they should of included a couple of batteries to start off those weapon pkgs, that would of probably set them up enough to want to keep them.

Note that the REDCAST module is not compatible with DSMC2 cameras.

As of 2 nights ago, the Red store was updated to reflect that new orders for the expanders will ship within 2-3 weeks. Point being, if all goes well, I'd expect us to have those in hand long before the end of March.
 
These are happy moments...Don'y see why some people start judging time stamps and stuff. Folks, RED has kicked our ass'es expectations...Let enjoy the ride. They definitely exceeded our expectations on this one!
 
Agreed. The fact Scarlet W and RAVEN exist is a testament to how awesome they are. Now the fact that W began shipping, packages of W are shipping next week, and RAVEN is on time for next month is even more awesome.

I'm okay with the waiting. I know that the wait is worth it and the content that RED enables me to capture is the reason why I am okay with it!

As one of the very first Scarlet-W to be allocated, I actually opted to have my camera delayed a few more weeks until the modules are ready. As excited as I am, it's just better for me to try to keep calm and wait until Red gets the rest of the manufacturing caught up.

I'm with you on this one. I ordered Jan. 1st. I got brain only, but ordered the base expander and sidekick to go with it. It would be too much of a tease to have the brain arrive, and then sit on my desk as a very pretty paperweight until the modules came in.

Waiting to have a fully functional camera is best.
 
Haha. You sir are diligent. I would have them ship it just so I can drool all over it. But you're right. I elected to buy my accessories and have most of them. Just waiting on the XL module, display, and Outrigger. ;) The rest are here!

Ditto. I'm still so jealous of you and your W!!!! Hahaha. I looked at some of your work, really enjoyed it man! Can't wait to see your W footage!
