  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-W 240FPS test

by far the best 240 fps clip I've seen from this camera. Pull any tricks to limit the noise?

Awesome! Much different than other 2K 240fps I've seen which looked muddy. Perhaps its the glass

Hi Morgan,

At 240 fps, what shutter speed / angle were you working with? 180 degrees? I know some people shoot at 360 degrees to get an extra stop on light.

Also, were there any lights (Tungsten or daylight) setup? Or was it illuminated just by the fire?

I have something next week where my S-W might have to do the same thing.

Thanks

Compensating with shutter is a big no-no, since your footage end up looking strange. I'd rather go for higher ISOs and then use Neat video in post, this software makes miracles.

135 degrees is what I found to be the sweet spot in my opinion. No lights other than ambient daylight hitting the background (the super blue looking light) and the fire.
