  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-W 240FPS test

Beautiful, Morgan, all just ProRes, no R3D? and FilmConvert through Premiere?

Very impressed, especially compared to other 240 samples I've seen...Wow those rich blacks. Looking forward to the full vid.

Considering this is both a LOWLIGHT and HIGHSPEED test...it's pretty impressive.

To quote my editor today - even with the Youtube compression, this looks very clean (and filmic).

Holy smokes that's impressive. I was thinking the 240fps 2K wouldn't be useable as is the case with Scarlet D and MX, but this is looking pretty clean. In the original R3D did you feel it was noisy or soft?

It wasn't that noisy or soft, the sensor holds up nicely for it being 2K.

thank you! I converted the R3D to ProRes and brought into Premiere, then applied FilmConvert.

Nice test, but I would like to remind everyone that this was shot on a freaking Otus, which is super sharp, so your milage may vary if you're using some less perfect glass in HFR modes.

Thanks for your reply Morgan, and yes great point Demetri, Otus lenses are amazing, which probably definitely helped with the 2K crop.

Wow, nice job! Were you rating the Scarlet-W at 800 ISO? Not only great image quality, but solid choices in the short edit too.
