Thanks a lot guys, I’m fine and my family is safe. On 22.02.2022 we woke up in our apartment in Kyiv at 5AM from loud sounds of explosions. Car alarms went viral, immediately I’ve opened the news and they stated - RUSSIA started a war against Ukraine. I’ve managed to rescue my family from Kyiv, but a lot of my friends are hiding in shelters in Kyiv. Russians are firing ballistic missles that are able to carry nuclear weapons on our cities. The building that had a direct hit - is the building in which one of my friends lived. Luckily they were in shelter. The city of Kharkiv is being shelled with missle strikes that are not controlled ones, like Grad, Katyusha, Smerch and artillery strikes. Please, help us to close our skies - we have given out our nuclear arsenal in exchange to the guarantees of our sovereignty, and right now one of those guarantees is shelling us with missles that are able to carry nukes. Help us to protect our skies, and we will do the rest. We are not afraid of russians and we are kicking their asses like in the hell on the ground, but we can’t do anything in the sky.

you can help us by donating to our military, going on peace marches and by limiting russian activities on your local places. Russians are clearly an aggressor here and it’s a war of Putin’s choice. Most of russians clearly support those cruel actions and are clearly accomplices and are partners in crime.

The Scarlet MX gets my seal of approval - not as an operator or owner, but as a person who is picky about image quality. Maybe not the best camera to use with anamorphic lenses with a high squeeze factor though.

It's worth pointing out maybe that the GH6 is at a point where it's not only challenging older cinema cameras, it's challenging current generation hybrid cameras with much bigger sensors. And it will be a much better choice for anamorphic than any of the older Red cameras - as far as resolution is concerned.

While, not primarily a Scarlet MX project (easily could have been my b-cam), but mainly an Epic MX project - it really does show what's the MX sensor is capable of in 2022:

I forgot to mention that I watched this and it's excellent. The MX is so good that you can't tell it's "old".

I thought about that whilst chasing the anamorphic dream.
Buy a GH6 and get a cheaper anamorphic lens or save up for an Atlas....yea right more like wait for Xeen to get it going
Is anamorphic that much crisper on the newer cameras as oppose to Scarlet/Epic/Dragon DMSC1?

(In case anyone's looking for a specific org, a Ukrainian-American journalist friend of mine who has covered the country recommended a charity called Razom for Ukraine-- they seem to be a US-based umbrella group that has been doing civil society work there since 2014 and have refocused efforts based on the war.
