I'm 17, an indie filmmaker, working on trying to buy the Scarlet cause it has to do with Red, but your bashing it saying its nothing cool... well not exactly that, but your bashing my ideas of using it as a camera...

Every post i see you write on Scaret, isn't good news, you seem to be passing it off, its not just me, its my group of friends who are as into is as all others... you started off saying it'd be awesome.... but no you just telling u what it won't be... a "Pocket Cam"

Okay, final predictions?

Graeme said something about big pockets, so it's probably not going to be too small.

2K. If it's got a dedicated still feature, it would be just over 2MP.

Monitor that can very easily attach and come off.

Liquid cooling.

Higher compression ratios (maybe 40:1) than the Red One.

Built in microphone for when you don't have anything better. Sort of like the built in speakers on the Mac Pro

Why not full manual controls? When has a camera ever had RAW mode and not full manual controls?

HV20 size except metal and heavy, with a largish lcd and 1080p video with anywhere from a super16 to a close to 35mm sensor (four thirds?). Hopefully $2k price-wise, i could afford that (Less would be appreciated but is highly unlikely). I just want to be impressed.

I think SCARLET will be something like SI2K-Mini with 2k mysteriumlike Sensor, universalmount like IMS from P+S and ready to connect to another Scarlet to be able to capture stereoscopic 3d. Softwaredriven via external computer, built in 3d capacities, redcoderaw based, internal capturing by cf, external by notebook. Maybe optimized to birgermount and ready for built in autofocus features

We will know in some hours...
