I won't be a man till I own a Red (I'm 21 now)
21? I'm 31 and I'm struggling to afford one, and I have my own company. Times change, I guess...

Hehe don't have my own company yet, but i'm going to shoot a 30-40 minutes car racing documentary with a Sony Pdx 10 for a school assignment next week. Gotta climb a lot of steps before the red....but I so desperately want itt :crying:
That's the right attitude that'll get you there
New website under Scarlet: ETA early 2011.
www.red.com/press go click on "more".
Here's what it says:
"As of October 1st, 2010, these 3 cameras are still in development, with a target for the first launch, Scarlet 2/3 Fixed, being early 2011."
As you may have gathered by that it also mentions that the Scarlet line is now 3 cameras: 2/3 fixed, 2/3 (no longer cinema) and S35. So long Scarlet 645.

I do not se the word 'more' anywhere at red.com nor can I find these words.
Can you be more precise as to where you are reading this?

Am I the only one who saw "a burst rate up to 120fps" for 3K Scarlet? Wasn't it supposed to do up to 120 fps continuously, with a maximum burst rate of 150 fps?
Pros:
HDRx™™
Very flexible data rates / compression ratios
No line skipping
150fps (higher at 2k)
Modular
Ethernet
Timecode
REDmote
CF, SSD, and upgradeable in the future
and lots more...
Cons:
Not true about the DOF. Graeme and I shot some tests for DOF and were able to get some awesome bokeh.
What is Scarlet 645??
And what about Scarlet FF35?
