Scarlet Commercial: Anybody?

Hi guys,

We just got word our Scarlet is somewhere over the Pacific en route to our studio here in Perth, Australia.

I was just wondering, has anyone on this forum shot an actual commercial destined for broadcast on the Scarlet yet?

I mean a proper commercial with crew, clients, proper post, color, finishing and all the rest.

I ask because we've got a shoot on Thursday and Friday of next week and if we get the Scarlet with a few days to prep it could be a good fit.

I know Tonaci was using it in a movie he was on and there are a bunch of guys on here that never post but I was just checking to see if there was any finished tvcs that people are allowed to show or that are airing right now that have been backed by paying clients for broadcast release.


Did a quick search but only got tests or shorts.

Hey Patrick, sorry, off topic question. But you wouldn't happen to be the Patrick I (and a mutual friend Nelson Lau) did a george Whaley AFTRS course with about 10 years back?

First one will be this weekend. Its EPIC but im gonna throw the Scarlet up to get a comparison for the colorists we are working with.

I wouldnt imagine it to be something you wouldnt shoot a commercial with. Contact @tylerginter on twitter. I believe their camera has been working on projects for a while now.

I'll be shooting a spot the second week in February that will also have some green screen and VFX on it. Still working out details on the whole thing, but it will be fun.

I've got a shoot Feb 2 & 3 with scarlet. Nothing too crazy, just some hair products and a bunch of beauty shots for the spot
